The primary function of the Supply Chain Specialist is to manage inventory levels of multiple product categories / lines to meet customer needs.
The Supply Chain Specialist will also assist in training new team members as well as serving as secondary on un-assigned product categories.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Forecast and project product demand based on previous year sales and market trends.
Prepare weekly inventory reports regarding key product categories.
Prepare and send purchase orders to approved vendors in line with department guidelines.
Prepare and present high quantity inventory buys to management for approval.
Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate best price, quantities, and lead times.
Advise internal teams of factors which may affect vendor's ability to meet schedules.
Enter in-housework orders for assigned SKU's to match customer and seasonal demand.
Update bill of materials as needed and maintain vendor database.
Utilize AS400 for SKU maintenance, such as activation of SKU's, discontinuation of SKU's, adding/removing SKU's from sell trough and the setup of product substitutions.
Utilize Power BI to review inventory and to take quick action to cover inventory negatives.
Work with our Order Movement team to handle out of stock situations.
Work with our Sales and Marketing teams regarding overstock situations.
Work with our Sourcing team to find possible product alternatives.
Communicate with our Creative team and vendors regarding art proof changes.
Communicate with our warehouse/production teams on inventory and operation issues.
Manage product campaigns for key customers.
Manage secondary seller profiles and accounts.
Complete ad-hoc requests as requested by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree required.

years purchasing experience.
Fluent in Microsoft Office.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Effective at working in a group / team environment.
Excel at thinking outside the box and finding creative solutions to problems.
Ability to keep an organized, up to date and consistent log individual orders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks to meet demands.
