Engineering Technician (Region 10)
Job duties of an Engineering Technician in the Technical Services Unit include, but may not limited to:
oRoutinely operate and maintain a variety of equipment in the laboratory. oAssist/operate construction equipment used for pavement coring oPerform physical maintenance work on equipment. oConcrete and Asphalt plants inspection. Responsibilities may also include participating within the Incident Command System to support Department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.

Salary Range:
From $34606 to $44625 Annually
Minimum Qualification
To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law. If a viable list does not exist a provisional appointment may be made. Candidates who accept a provisional appointment must take the next competitive examination and be reachable on the resultant eligible list in order to be considered for permanent appointment to the position. In order to be considered for provisional appointment:
Promotional:
One year of service as an Assistant Drill Rig Operator, Engineering Aide, Drafting Aide, Drafting Technician, or Environmental Engineering Tech 1. Open Competitive:
High school graduation or equivalent and one year of experience assistance in engineering, engineering technology, environmental technology, electronics, electronics technology, landscape design, materials laboratory technology, drafting or surveying.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
