Licensed Master Social Worker 2 - EOA #22-007

This staff person will be a part of the Bureau of Assessment, Oversight and Coordination (BAOC) within the Division of Service Delivery, Statewide Services. The position will be located within an applicable Developmental Disabilities Regional Office (DDRO) but will have supervisory and administrative reporting structure to Central Office. The LMSW2 Assessment Quality Management (QM) Staff supervisor is responsible for supervising QM customer services staff across DDRO regions, and for supporting the Assessment Quality Assurance (QA) supervisor, as needed. The LMSW2 position will report to the Social Work Supervisor (SWS1) for Assessment Operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Oversee the activities of an assigned team of QM staff responsible for the processing of CAS/CANS concerns and related requests across multiple DDRO regions. This would include but is not limited to time off requests, time and attendance records, dissemination of information from the CAS/CANS central office team, monitoring of productivity and staff training requirements, etc. o Provide oversight for and complete tracking for all correspondence and concerns cases o Schedule and coordinate regular meetings with QM staff to conduct a Community of Practice, share information and give feedback and guidance. o Report issues to the SWS1 as appropriate. o Help facilitate and act as a liaison with the state assessment team for quality oversight activities and address any issues that may arise. o Participate in all standing Concerns Review Committee meetings and process individual concerns cases as needed o Manage protocols for QM staff travel and caseloads. o Maintain and complete QM related program activities, timeline activities and deliverables as provided by Central Office. o Complete all required documentation accurately utilizing the technology provided. o To adequately supervise QM staff, frequent travel (approximately 50% to 65% of the time) is required including some weekend travel and overnight stays at hotels. o Utilize flexible scheduling, including evening, and weekend hours as necessary. o Manage multiple priorities effectively, including prioritizing work plans and work assignments and meeting deadlines. o Fulfill training and certification requirements prior to the utilization of the assessment and/or review tools, on an ongoing basis. o Provide and support and coverage for the QA supervisor, as needed. From $66566 to $84450 Annually

Eligible List:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on Current Civil Service Eligible List for this title. OR Transfer:
Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades. OR Temporary Appointment - In the event there is not a valid eligible list at this location, candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for the Licensed Master Social Worker 2 exam may submit an employment application and resume to Long Island DDSO and if hired, will be appointed with temporary status. Candidates must also submit an online application for the Licensed Master Social Worker examination during the next submission period in February,2022. Qualifications:
Either A. licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) AND have one year of post NYS licensure professional social work experience; Or B. licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Registration and licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor is not considered qualifying for these examinations. Professional social work experience involves activities such as screening, assessing and diagnosing individuals' and families' psychosocial needs, strengths and limitations; participating in the development of treatment plans and discharge plans; counseling and educating individuals, groups and families to promote mental, emotional, physical and social functioning; helping access needed services; providing client/patient advocacy and crisis intervention; and developing, coordinating and evaluating services and support systems. Experience limited to social work research or social work administration is NOT considered qualifying.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
