In the Region 5 office, the Licensed Master Social Worker 2 will supervise two staff and oversee the daily operations of all Family Support Services contracts and programs. This employee interfaces with families, agencies and the Family Support Services Advisory Council members. The position requires assessment and engagement skills to assist with the appropriate match of services, as well as excellent communication and public relations skills. Other job duties to include:
ongoing technical assistance to families, non-profit agencies, and public entities, site visits, program review, tracking of service utilization and the organization of public events. Occasional evening work is a requirement. Also must be willing to work on Special projects as assigned.

Salary Range:
From $66566 to $84450 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Eligible List:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on Current Civil Service Eligible List for this title. OR Transfer:
Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades. OR Temporary Appointment - In the event there is not a valid eligible list at this location, candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for the Licensed Master Social Worker 2 exam may submit an employment application and resume to Long Island DDSO and if hired, will be appointed with temporary status. Candidates must also submit an online application for the Licensed Master Social Worker examination during the next submission period in February,2022. Qualifications:
Either A. licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) AND have one year of post NYS licensure professional social work experience; Or B. licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Registration and licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor is not considered qualifying for these examinations. Professional social work experience involves activities such as screening, assessing and diagnosing individuals' and families' psychosocial needs, strengths and limitations; participating in the development of treatment plans and discharge plans; counseling and educating individuals, groups and families to promote mental, emotional, physical and social functioning; helping access needed services; providing client/patient advocacy and crisis intervention; and developing, coordinating and evaluating services and support systems. Experience limited to social work research or social work administration is NOT considered qualifying.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
