Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
process work assigned in CIS work queue accurately and in a timely manner; greet and provide general information to walk-in constituents; assist with public use of computers to access eCase, WCB website online forms and applications; assist with voter registration; assist WCLJs and constituents with hearing process; receive and process documents and evidence for administration of claims; and assist parties who require language access services when necessary. Some travel may be required to provide coverage in service centers.

Salary Range:
From $40533 to $49129 Annually

Qualifications:
Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list. -OR- TRANSFER
Qualifications:
Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to:
Office Assistant 2, Office Assistant 2 Calculations, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding. -OR- PROVISIONAL
Qualifications:
Promotion One year of permanent competitive, non-competitive, labor, or 55-b/55-c service in a clerical position allocated to a Grade 6 or higher. Open competitive:
Either 1. 60 or more college semester credit hours AND one year of full-time qualifying experience Or 2. a high school diploma or GED AND two years of full-time general office experience AND ONE YEAR of full-time qualifying experience Experience processing claims, examining claims or adjusting claims; OR experience dealing with many different individuals on a continuous basis where VERBAL COMMUNICATION is the primary method used to resolve those individuals problems or issues or to explain policies, programs/services, or procedures to those individuals. If appointed provisionally, the incumbent will need to take the next Civil Service examination for this title and pass with a score that will be immediately reachable on the resulting eligible list. Failure to take, pass and achieve a reachable score on the examination may result in revocation of the appointment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
