Licensed Psychologist - EOA #22-148

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
o Review psychological, physical, psychosocial and specialty reports to assess eligibility for OPWDD services, o Review first step eligibility determinations from unit staff, o Make eligibility determinations at the second step, o Participate in second step eligibility team reviews, o Conduct phone conferences with individuals and families when eligibility is denied, o Contact Care Coordination Care Managers and Non-Medicaid Service Coordinators to obtain necessary documents to determine eligibility for OPWDD services, o Complete OPWDD Level of Care Eligibility Determination (LCED) forms for individuals new to OPWDD who are seeking eligibility for OPWDD services, o Participate in regional and central office meetings, training and teleconferences as required, o Review and sign eligibility determination letters, o Respond to phone calls, voicemails and emails related to eligibility matters, o Conduct face to face meeting with individuals to determine eligibility, o Participate in eligibility fair hearings, o Maintain a tracking sheet and monthly statistics on all work completed for the eligibility unit, o Enter eligibility data into Sharepoint,Provide managerial oversight for the director of eligibility when he/she is out of the office, o Special projects as assigned by Administration.

Salary Range:
From $131111 to $131111 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Transfer Must have one year of permanent service as a Licensed Psychologist; OR Must have one year of permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under 70.1 of the Civil Service Law; OR Must have one year of permanent service in a title within two (2) salary grades of G-25, and have a passing score and current status on the Licensed Psychologist eligible list to be eligible for transfer under 70.4 of the Civil Service Law; OR Open Competitive Must be active and have a reachable score on the Licensed Psychologist eligible list. OR Temporary Appointment Licensed Psychologist is a continuous recruitment examination. Candidates who are not currently on the eligible list may apply for this position and if appointed, will receive a temporary appointment. To qualify, candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
