Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1 - EOA#2022-266

DDPS I under the Director of Development, DDPS2 is responsible for the timely completion of Voluntary Agency development of all HCBS Waiver Services including, but not limited to residential and day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. o Managing program development projects including the following:
o Process request for services for fair market appraisals o Complete site saturation study and attend feasibility meeting on site o Request and review feasibility studies o Review CON requests and process for approvals o Review of 41.34 letters o Attend Community Meetings o Coordination and participation in 41.34 hearings o Prepare Prior Property Approval documents o Attend design meetings o Attend BID openings o Attend construction site visits and ensure timely completion of project o Process DARS form o Processing the Regulatory Compliance Contract o Coordinate and attend pre-opening surveys with DQI Other related duties include:
o Maintaining & organizing project files o Special projects as assigned (ICF Transitions, Auspice Change, etc.) o Approving and tracking Day Habilitation backfill opportunities o Tracking Transitional Students / Aging Out Individuals regarding Day Habilitation services o Tracking individuals in new residential development coordinating with the Residential Support Unit o Technical assistance to stakeholders o Support individualized community supports and services o Other duties as needed by Regional Office Administration

From $71496 to $90657 Annually

Qualifications:
On or before the date of examiantion, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities and have had twelve months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as follows:
- In a position at a Grade 16 or above AND you must have a bachelor's degree or higher in a human services field. For the purpose of this examination, a degree in a human services field includes the professional disciplines of audiology, community mental health, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, social work, speech/language pathology, and therapeutic recreation (including concentrations in art, dance, drama, music or physical education). Also included are related academic disciplines associated with the study of human behavior (e.g., gerontology, human services, sociology, and speech communication) or human skills development (e.g., counseling, education, and human development). Examples of non-qualifying degrees include but are not limited to:
criminal justice, political science, liberal arts, and business.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
