3K a year Family Service League provides services to individuals, children, and families to mobilize their strengths and improve the quality of their lives at home, in the workplace, and in the community.
With more than 60 social service programs in over 20 locations, Family Service League is committed to servicing Long Island's most vulnerable citizens.
We are seeking Overnight Social Workers to provide direct care to clients during overnight shifts in our DASH crisis stabilization center.
Services are provided on site as well as in virtual (telehealth) formats.
Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical assessments and brief intervention with adults, adolescents and children with the full range of DSM diagnoses, including both mental health and substance use disorders.
Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health in an electronic medical record.
Provide linkages and follow up to clients during stabilization period and immediately following.
Coordinate with outside providers and collateral contacts.
Attend routine supervisions and team meetings.
Coordinate treatment with a multidisciplinary team.
Complete trainings and maintain proficiency with de-escalation and crisis intervention skills.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
LMSW or LMHC is required.
We will consider limited permit holders and applicants who are willing to pursue the limited permit.
A minimum of six month's of experience in a behavioral health clinic is required.
Clinical experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records is required.
Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills are required.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
