Confidential Confidential Hauppauge, NY Hauppauge, NY Full-time Full-time $80,000 - $100,000 a year $80,000 - $100,000 a year Large construction business located in Hauppauge is looking for an Executive Assistant/Paralegal to provide support to one of the company's two Executive leadership positions.
The Executive Assistant/Paralegal provides comprehensive legal and administrative support to company ownership.
To be successful in this role, it's critical to have great organizational skills, an affinity for maintaining confidentiality, the ability to manage a heavy workload and a team approach while demonstrating the utmost professionalism.
This is the perfect opportunity for a hard worker who is interested in supporting primarily one person but also able to work well in a team environment.
Essential Functions:
? Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support legal proceedings.
? Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings and contracts.
? Write legal correspondence and prepare legal documents for external counsel review.
? Review legal contracts ? Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and easily accessible.
? Manage deadlines, court appearances and other case-related activities.
? Manage and coordinate appointments, meetings and court dates for attorneys.
? Escalate to external counsel as necessary, serving as liaison between ownership and external counsel when prudent.
? Provide general administrative support to the President/CEO, including answering phones, handling mail and correspondence.
? Coordinate calendars and work travel as necessary.

Required Education and
Experience:
? Bachelor's degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or related field.
? Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
? Must have experience in the construction industry.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
