Program Manager (MVNO) will be responsible from project oversight, resource planning, requirement gathering and implementation of Globecomm's MVNO services and products. Program Manager will be working with internal teams, outsourced vendors as well as with Customer (MVNO) onboarding projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all aspects of multiple projects through the project life cycle including project plans, project budgets, resource plans and delivery of outcomes.
Help the Product Owner with communication to stakeholders, groom backlog, and release plans.
Work with the engineering team to influence best practices.
Work with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to take projects from ideation all the way to commercial product launch.
Remove impediments on a daily basis.
Enable teams to be self-organizing.
Provide leadership and coordination with members of all functional organizations to coordinate companywide resources and ensure that the scope of all projects support strategic business objectives.
Facilitate the planning, including project structure and staffing, estimating, resource allocation and assignment, detailed scheduling, critical path analysis and coordination for a project or program throughout the lifecycle.
Provide timely reports to upper management to ensure an understanding of status and project performance. Prepare interim and completion project reports.
Hold focus group meetings as needed to facilitate inter-departmental communication and coordination to ensure successful program delivery.
Ensure all project plans are up to date with respect to planning, scope, scheduling, cost estimations and status.
Facilitate negotiations with project participants and stakeholders on significant project issues and risks.
Analyze factors leading to project success and failure and make recommendations for future improvements or changes. Researches lessons learned, best practices, risk assessments and trends, earned value and analysis as a foundation for baseline plans.
Take a proactive stance by developing contingency plans in potential risk areas and identifying contingency plan deployment criteria to resolve potential problems.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience.
7
years of engineering project management.
Project Management Professional (PMP) strongly preferred or equivalent PM experience.
Experience with software is a MUST, preferably with both hardware and software.
Understanding of IT Architecture, OSS & BSS (Billing) systems and API integration
Experience in the wireless communications industry is strongly preferred.
Extensive practical knowledge of project management theory, concepts and principles
Proficient in Microsoft Project and Project Server as well as extensive experience in the Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills, critical thinker with excellent judgment and initiative.
Strong technical writing skills, analysis assessment, attention to details and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Superior communication skills with all levels of employees, both internal and external customers, including presentations, negotiations written reports.
