SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, developing and executing strategic marketing plans, initiatives and related projects for the firm. Demonstrate a successful combination of creativity and strategic management while completing day-to-day tasks, coordinating timelines and managing expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
o Develop and execute marketing and communications plans to generate qualified leads for the sales staff.
o Oversee the daily activities of the marketing department, aligning the goals and objectives of the department and staff with firm strategies.
o Work closely with executive and other management to brainstorm and develop ideas for effective campaigns. Identify the target audience, develop the creative, and fully execute marketing and advertising campaigns that meet the objectives of the firm.
o Conduct market research and utilize the information to enhance our marketing messages. Stay abreast of competition in our marketplace and their marketing efforts to keep us informed and updated.
o Manage the firm's needs for marketing collateral, including communications pieces, brochures and all sales literature on the sales system.
o Review the marketing literature on an on-going basis. Develop a procedure for streamlining the process which includes improving search functions, updating existing, outdated material, and managing the overall organization and presentation of available marketing pieces for sales use.
o Effectively manage the expectations of department managers and the executive team to support their marketing needs and initiatives.
o Develop, update and maintain annual tradeshow plan based on tracked ROI data. Investigate and recommend trade shows based on marketing plans and oversee all tradeshow activities.
o Manage a calendar of sales & marketing events for targeted clients and prospects in conjunction with the CPE program, tradeshows and internal client visits.
o Work with outside marketing agencies, as needed, on key projects for the firm.
o Prepare, analyze and maintain marketing budget on an ongoing basis.
o Act as the liaison between marketing and compliance to ensure that all marketing communications are approved in a timely manner.
o Prepare sales & marketing presentations to support the sales team on an "as needed" basis.
o Review industry organization web sites (e.g. NCUA) for all sectors and find industry related topics (e.g. NCUA board meeting agenda) to utilize for marketing communications.
o Investigate, recommend and subscribe to industry publications and trade organizations for target market sectors as outlined in marketing plan.
o Manage and revise client gift program as needed.
o Track all marketing responses to campaigns and produce monthly reports.
o Execute presentations to the sales staff and new employees about the firm and our marketing initiatives.
o Assist Human Resources with position advertisements and provide marketing materials geared for talent acquisition activities as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
o Bachelor's degree in Marketing.
o 3-5 years management experience in strategic B2B services marketing, preferably in a financial services organization.
o Demonstrated record of success in planning and executing marketing initiatives utilizing in-house, budgeted resources.
o Experience working with sales teams to plan and execute prospect/lead outreach programs, with a proven record of success in conversions.
o Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in leading and developing staff.
o High level of organization and time management skills to follow up effectively on all sales and service related activity.
o Ability to multi task in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Demonstration of great attention to detail and internal procedures.
o Utilize superior time management skills to multi-task, prioritize, coordinate and oversee the project planner and marcomm to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to read and interpret documents such as company memos, customer correspondence and instructions, reports, safety rules and procedure manuals.
o Ability to write routine customer correspondence, develop sales presentations and prepare marketing communication pieces.
o Demonstration of exceptional sales skills while maintaining a high level of professionalism over the phone and in person.
o Consistently friendly, courteous, respectful of customers and co-workers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
o Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
o Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
o Experience with utilizing advanced analytic tools to confirm quality and consistency of strategic decisions.
o Proficiency in Microsoft office products suite with a focus on Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
o Working knowledge of the Apple Macintosh computer including applicable graphic software such as Quark and Photoshop.
o Desktop Publishing and/or Graphic Design experience and knowledge of website design and interactive elements, a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
