The incumbent of this Nurse 2 position will coordinate the delivery of Direct Support and clinical staff related skill development topics such as Medication Administration, Maintaining Health, CPR/First Aid and other topics as assigned within the community IRA's, ICF and Day Program sites across Long Island DDSOO and communicate regularly with Supervisors at these locations. Incumbent will serve as a support resource to other divisions and serve on committees as assigned. Incumbent will attain required training certifications as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
oPlan, coordinate and instruct the Approved Medication Administration program. oProvide remedial medication administration training when needed. oTeach New Employee related topics including but not limited to:
First Aid, CPR and co-train other NEO classes as assigned. oMonitor staff training compliance by utilizing the Statewide Learning Management System. oAttend agency Committee meetings, participate in work groups as assigned oSupport the local Traineeship Council for nursing related topics oServe as a nursing liaison to support departments.

Salary Range:
From $70982 to $80454 Annually
Minimum Qualification
TRANSFER Must have one year of permanent service as a Nurse 2; OR Must have one year of permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under 70.1 of the Civil Service Law; OR Must have one year of permanent service in a title within two (2) salary grades of G-16, and have a passing score and current status on the Nurse 2 eligible list to be eligible for transfer under 70.4 of the Civil Service Law; OR OPEN COMPETITIVE Must be active and have a reachable score on the Nurse 2 eligible list. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
